Press release by FOM Real Estate
GmbH
July 19, 2006
FOM Real Estate and LEG Baden-Württemberg
sell
“Orion Portfolio” to an international investor
With the sale of the “Orion Portfolio” to the Israeli
Ahouvi Group, FOM and LEG concluded the largest real-estate
transaction of the year in Germany so far, with a value of
approximately 250 million euros.
The
Orion package comprises four new office buildings for Deutsche
Telekom at sites in Bonn, Münster and Darmstadt, creating
90,000 square meters of office space as well as 2,500 parking
spaces. Within the framework of an international investor
competition, Sireo Real Estate GmbH issued a call for bids for
the properties in which the bidding syndicate made up of FOM
and LEG came out victorious against strong competition.
Once the buildings are ready, they will be leased in 2007 for
15 years to several units of Telekom within the scope of a
sale & lease back transaction.
Heidelberg-based FOM had already built the Telekom Center (Ten
Towers) for Telekom in Munich. The main office of T-Online in
Darmstadt was built together with LEG in 2004. At the end of
2005, these two companies were also awarded the contract for
the construction of the new corporate main office of the
Süddeutscher Verlag Mediengruppe, a 28-story building in
Munich-Haidhausen. |
